We received a request from BIG MONEY University. Task was to create advertising, approve and launch as quickly as possible in order to gather people for the BIGMONEY forum in Kiev.

Due to the pandemic and restrictions on offline events, it was impossible to plan the launch in advance, so it started quite late and was held on a tight schedule.

Before contacting us, BIG MONEY team had already run ads, but the volume of registrations was not enough to gather a full room.

As a result, the event was only one month away, and we needed to sell another 1,000+ tickets during that time.

We took on this task. We were able to reach 100-150+ applications per day for the forum and together we met our sales plan. Find out what made it happen in this case study.

Solution to the problem

Precise targeting

Target audience of BIGMONEY forum – entrepreneurs, business owners, top managers and company managers, as well as everyone who wants to start their own business.

The following parameters were chosen for customization:

Interests: entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized businesses. Also used indirect interests that may be common to people interested in business: sports, luxury, travel, shopping, and others.

Behavior: small business owners.

Positions: founder, CEO, founder/business owner, Co-founder, COO, CEO.

Also launched campaigns without selecting interests so that Facebook itself would find people who would take the targeted action.

Creating a lot of creatives

For this launch, our team created over 25 ad texts and 150+ banner ads.

Based on these and other creatives, we launched 31 advertising campaigns.

Video invitations from forum speakers

Speakers of that forum were well-known media and business people. Among them: Evgeny Cherniak, Vasily Khmelnitsky, Dmitry Gordon, Andrey Fedoriv, Oles Timofeev, Mikhail Fedorov and others.

We decided to use the fame of the speakers as a trigger for targeted actions. In order to do this, BIG MONEY University team provided us with video invitations from the speakers.

The invitation from Vasily Khmelnitsky, the founder of UFuture, a holding company with assets valued at $500 million:

Dmitry’s Facebook invitation gathered 59 likes, 12 comments, 2 reposts and brought 164 applications to the forum at a price almost 4 times lower than planned.

Retargeting

We set up retargeting for people who had visited the event page but hadn’t left a request. In these creatives, we offered them two tickets for the price of one.

If people were hesitant to buy a ticket when they saw the retargeting offer, they reacted quicker, because they saw the benefits.

From retargeting we got 2% of requests from the total amount.

The result

Thanks to our retargeting efforts, we have managed to get the amount of 100-150 applications per day at the BIGMONEY forum and together we have fulfilled our ticket sales plan.

Conclusions

If you don’t have time to prepare and you need the result in a short period – create as many creatives and advertising campaigns as possible to find exactly what will work, and to scale these creatives.

 

The event involves famous speakers – benefit on this. Add their photos to banner ads or request video invitations from them.

 

Set up your targeting as accurately as possible. When creating audiences for your ads, add any interests that might be related to your event.

 

Engage more placements to increase your reach and create awareness for your event.
